Where and How do i download clothes,makeup and hair for sims 2?

Where can I download The Sims 2 clothes,hair, and makeup that other poeple have made for sims 2? And more importantly after downloading it how to i use it in the game.? I desperately want clothes for my sims and I need help! I can't actually don't understand how to put them into the game or where to download them. Are there any video tutorials or anything? If you haven't already, make a new folder, name it ';Downloads'; and put it in your Sims 2 Folder :





Your Account Name/Documents/EAGames/The Sims 2





Then make another folder. You can put it on your Desktop and name it ';Sims 2 Downloads';











There are a BUNCH of websites you can go on to get clothes, makeup, etc, one of my favorites is modthesims2.com.





Create an account for free, go to the downloads page and look around. Once you find something you like, click on it and read the overveiw to see if you need to get anything from another site, then go the the Download tab and scroll down until you see the download files.





when you click them, Save it to your ';Sims 2 Downloads';.





Now, your at your ';Sims 2 Downloads'; folder (on your desktop or where ever) with a bunch off stuff you downloaded. You have to now download a program like WinRAR to open those downloads. You can download it free online like at :

Or just type in at your favorite search engine = Free WinRAR download.








If you got WinRAR, start it up and click the Wizard button. Then make sure it's on Unpack Archive, click Next. Browse to your ';Sims 2 Downloads'; folder and double click on whatever custom content you down loaded. Click Next. Then it asks you where you want to put what you un zipped stuff, Browse again and go to the ';Downloads'; folder in :





*Your Account Name*/Documents/EA Games/ The Sims 2/ Downloads





Then click Finish.











Now, when you start up sims 2, go to a neighborhood, click the ';...'; Button. and check ';Enabled Custom Content';. Restart Sims 2.





Now, before it asks you what neighborhood to go to, a box might Pop up listing some of your custom content. Below, check the box that say ';Enable Custom Content';. Then you have to shut up your game and start it up again to see the difference.








There you go! If It still doesn't work, I might have gotten something wrong and then pray you get a better answer. :)

I had trouble with this before too :) I just went to sims 2 website and made an account. It is pretty easy, afterwards download the items you want. Then look for it in your computer, there should be a file under the sims 2 with the stuff you downloaded. After you downloaded the items you can play it in your game. Sorry if it's not very clear, I tried to put it in the best way. Good luck :)
It's a little complicated when you first start downloading, but once you know what you're doing, it's a peice of cake!


You may want to search up videos on youtube about how to properly install Custom Content(CC) into your game. That's how I learned.
