What are some simple makeup and hair ideas for the new year?

I need hairstyles that are easy and don't call for many products. I also need cute makeup ideas and such that are age appropriate for a 13 year old. No eyeliner or mascara. Thanks so much guys!!What are some simple makeup and hair ideas for the new year?
Well, I think that's great that you prefer not to wear mascara or eyeliner, but for the new year, why not try something new but light?

Mascara definitely helps bring out the eyes for anyone. If your eyelashes aren't already naturally curled, try curling them and applying a brown mascara rather than black - that way you're not over doing it, yet at the same time you're bringing a bit more volume to your lashes.

In addition to the light mascara, you could try using a couple natural tone eyeshadows. Try using one that compliments your skin tone instead of something that heavily contrasts it.

For example, I have a very light skin tone, so I use the M.A.C. eye shadows, ';shroom'; (a light, natural shimmering color as the base) and afterwards I use ';era'; (a soft brown for the crease of my eyes).

It really depends on the tone of your skin as well as your hair and sometimes eye color.

As for the lips, for a natural attempt I would stick with a soft pink or clear lip gloss to be safe.

You could put your hair up in a bun. Pull two strands of hair from the front and plat them. Make sure those two plates aren't too fat. Tie them to the bun or how you want. Chose some decorative pins and hair clips. But i would think a very decorative clip at the right side would be better and try to make the colour of the hair band and clip match.
