How do you download extras things for Sims2 like hair, makeup, and furnishing ??

i only have sims2 sims bon voyage sims family fun stuff, sims open for business, sims nightlife and sims2 glamour life.How do you download extras things for Sims2 like hair, makeup, and furnishing ??
While there are *some* sites that will charge you downloads, most of teh popular ones are free of charge.





The ones I use a lot are:

On the first site you can find a tutorial on how to download and install. They even have tutorials on how to MAKE your own custom items.


That site is pretty much amazing.

modthesims has some nice downloadable stuff





to download you will need a zip or winrar to open files





You will to create a Downloads file if one isnt already there in


C:\Documents and Settings\yourname\My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\





then all you need to do is click where the downloads link is and save it in the downloads file you created .after it saves you need to go the folder and extract it into the game .





Also some downloads requires Meshes which are usually found on the page of the item or the creator will give a link to it ..Be sure to check for that or it will show up funny in the game (mainly goes for hair but some objects have them also )





Oh and be sure what you download is compatable with the expansions you have or it will not show up the creator will tell you what exp. it calls for so check for that ..
