Should i care that my makeup was tested on animals?

It's really hard finding products not tested on animals and if i do they are usually really pricy. I mean it's just one bottle, what difference, will it make anyway?Should i care that my makeup was tested on animals?
Yes you should. Animals and people dont have the same biological makeup so its useless.

Plus would you like it if someone put a bunch of chemicals in your eyes and face and watch them burn you.

Here are a couple of cheap make up products that does NOT test on animals:

Revlon (found at almost every drugstore)

Almay (found at almost every drugstore)

Avon

Mark. (avon sister line)

Clinique

MAC

Physicians Formula (very good and inexpensive)

Juice Beauty (found at sephora)

Kiss My Face (awesome and inexpensive)

Comapnies that DO test on animals:

Covergirl

Johnson %26amp; Johnson

L'Oreal

Olay

Pantene

Suave

Ponds

NOTE: The brands NOT tested on animals are better quality and better for your skin rather than those that ARE tested on animals.Should i care that my makeup was tested on animals?
I like the idea of makeup not being tested on animals. They put drops of makeup or the ingredients used in them in the animal's eyes usually. If you ever watched a video on them doing this you would not be happy about it. These are unsuspecting animals and they are in misery from the stinging in their eyes, or the blindness it might cause. Just like you or I would have if it was put into our eyes. It is also tested on their skin which could cause irritation and pain. Many cosmetics and shampoos are not tested on animals and I find they are not very much more in price.

If more people demanded companies and researchers stop this practice or not purchase their products, they would all stop testing with animals.
It's important to know where your cosmetics are coming from. Whether it's the ingredients, the way they test, or just overall...a reputable non-animal-testing company usually carries better products. Companies like Almay, Revlon, MAC, Urban Decay, Medusa's Makeup...those are all companies with high-quality products that believe in being cruelty free. As for myself, I find it very satifying to know that I'm not contributing to the death or torture of any innocent animal. If everyone bought 'that one bottle'...and thought the very same thing (and I do the same at times, don't get me wrong...I can't resist a good Maybelline mascara or a Cover Girl shadow...) think of how many animals would be killed just for the products and safe-passing of that product. It's heartless, in my opinion. It's easier than you think to find cruelty-free cosmetics now than it has ever been, you should take advantage. These animal-testing companies have ethical options...there's on rule that says animals have to be harmed to product a product. The cruelty-free companies test on simulated skin and stuff of that nature...it's more accurate with results and is less expensive...you'd think most companies would embrace that. It seems that killing rabbits %26amp; the like is easier...

www.caringconsumer.com has a wonderful list of cruelty-free companies...drugstore and high-end alike. It really makes a difference and it feels so much better to spend money on quality products that were produced without harming animals in the process.
The choices you make as a consumer do matter. You vote for or against policies and corporate behavior every time you spend your money or decide against buying a particular brand.

PETA has an excellent website about cruelty free beauty products: http://www.caringconsumer.com/

Not all cruelty free products are pricey. For example, E.L.F. has many products for $1 that work really well %26amp; are not tested on animals. http://www.eyeslipsface.com/
It amazes me about this subject ....cosmetics have been around a very long time and you didn't see all these people refusing to buy them because of animal testing ....please don't take this wrong....I love animals and do not want to see them harmed ...but if we really stopped and thought about what we eat ...wear ...and the scents we use are tested on or whatever then we wouldn't buy anything ...... If it bothers you ....I mean really bothers YOU not what people on Yahoo says then by all means don't use them ....but if it doesn't bother you ( and that doesn't mean you don't care about animals ) then use them and enjoy .....

I often wonder if MAC ever decided to test on animals what would all these MAC lovers do ?????

Do what YOU feel okay with.

Hope this was helpful ~~~

Good Luck ~~~
Yes, you should, but don't get too obsessive over it.

I do feel bad for some of those animals, but just remember - these products are tested on animals to make sure they're safe for YOU. would you want your makeup to make your skin get a rash, or get bumpy and red? no. of course, only cheap makeup would do that, but...

smashbox doesnt test on animals, and i love their cosmetics. you can buy them at sephora.
Hell yeahh you should care!!!!!! Don't you KNOW what they do to those helpless animals?? Just because some dumb *** wants to create a new line of cosmetics, doesn't mean that a TON of animals who don't have a choice (because 'humans are at the top of the food chain' bla bla bla) should suffer from such unnecessary cruelty............you should definitely care!!
It is not just one bottle, it is many many products.....It is cruel, and says a great deal about the company, and its stance on animal rights. Do you fear its fair to subject animals to chemicals and such just so you can have makeup?
I think cosmetics should be tested on convicted murderers. They could have a logo on them of a person behind bars, or better yet of a person swinging from the gallows, so you'd know they were 'convict tested and approved'.
Yes, you should care. What you do does make a difference. This web page has a huge list of companies that do not test on animals: http://search.caringconsumer.com/. Revlon is one of them that is easy to find and doesn't cost too much.
i don't think you should because some makeup is made out of animal stuff. like mascara is made out of bat poo. i know it's just poo but like.. it's still animal stuff.
Yes you should care and there are plenty of makeup out there that is not tested on animals?? Jane cosmetics/Bonne Bell/Cover Girl etc. Check out the PETA website and they can tell you which makeup is tested on animals or not!!
I care if animals are hurt with this testing of products but I don't understand how they test makeup on animals. They can't actually apply it.
YES!

think of the poor little animals who dont have a say in what sh itty cheap mascara gets put on them!
yes you should care of course you should care they could be are are harming animals with the products you use!

Why would you want to use something that people test on animals?
i dont think yuh should care because most products are tested on animals ... how else would yuh know if the product yur using is safe ..
yes. you should care.
no ****.
