How to apply makeup and skin care products (procedures)?

I'm newbie in learning makeup. Can someone teach me the steps of doing makeup? Like to apply toner first, then foundation or moisturizer etc...

And cleansing procedure? Toner etc...

How about skin care before and after makeup? I heard about Essence and Cream but don't know how to use them. And is it harmful if I don't apply toner before putting on Essence etc?

It would be better if you can explain to me the function of each liquid/cream that I put on my face. (FYI, my skin is oily and ache prone)

Thanks in advance. How to apply makeup and skin care products (procedures)?
Applying makeup is easy once you have prepared your face well.

Because your skin is acne prone and oily, use a gel based cleanser because this will provide the most potent and gentle cleansing. Clearasil Gel Cleanser is great for acne prone skin. Wet your face with warm water, and pump one pump of the cleanser in your hands. Use your hands to work the cleanser into a foam or lather - then, work the cleanser around your face and then rinse with warm water. With an ice cube, run the ice around your nose, chin, and cheeks - the cold constricts the pores. Once a week, exfoliate your skin with an acne face wash such as Olay Warming Scrub.

Toning your skin removes impurities so use an all natural toner such as Witch Hazel and squirt it on a cotton pad. Swipe the cotton pad around your face and focus on problem areas. You'll be able to see the dirt coming off your face.

No matter what type of skin you have, you always need to moisturize. They sell moisturizers for all skin types and you just have to look for the right one. A great moisturizer for acne and oily skin is Clean %26amp; Clear Morning Burst Shine Control Moisturizer. Pump 2 pumps into your hands and work through your face and your neck.

Before applying makeup - using a primer will do wonders for you. You can find primers from expensive brands such as Smashbox...but as a cheaper alternative, you can use Monistat Chafing Cream as a primer. Use a small amount, and evenly apply it to your face -- this will act as a primer and fill in all of your lines and indents. It makes foundation go on smoother.

At the end of the day, use a makeup remover such as Olay Mascara + Make-Up Remover cream and work it into your skin. Wait about 10 minutes and then wash your face with the same gel cleanser that you used in the morning. Again, tone your skin.

That's it! :)How to apply makeup and skin care products (procedures)?
All is fairly simple. You may use a gel cleanser since you have oily skin. A cleanser will help remove surface grime and dirt. After cleansing, you may use a toner, or some rosewater or tea tree water, Lush makes a lovely toner called Tea Tree Water. A toner is to restore your skin's pH level and tighten pores. After toning, it is important to moisturize, you should use a light moisturizer since you have acne prone skin, also make sure the moisturizer has SPF, sun protection is very essential.

After your moisturizer, you may use some foundation, or concealer or just some light powder to finish the look. You may apply some bronzer to the cheeks, forehead and nose to give your face some dimension and glow. A SPF lip balm or lip gloss will also look beautiful. Keep it simple and natural!
1. There are plenty of cleansers that you can use that can help reduce the amount of breakouts that you have. Use cleanser first before you use a toner. A cleanser will remove the oils on your skin.

2. A toner is a product that exfoliates your skin. It helps to control the oils on your skin.

3. Next, apply oil-free moisturizer to your skin. Lotion will help keep your makeup stay in place longer.

4. After you have applied a moisturizer to your skin, you apply foundation to your skin. Use a makeup sponge or your fingers to blend it into your skin. Dot little amounts of foundation on your skin. Don't slather foundation onto your skin. Use little amounts and you can build up the coverage if you need it. Using little amounts can help you blend the foundation more better into the skin. To blend the foundation, blend it using a clockwise direction by using a makeup sponge or your fingers.

5. To remove makeup, use a makeup remover. Face wash can substitute as a makeup remover.
1. Clean your face.

2. Tone your face. (helps a lot with oil)

3. Moisturize!

4. Use a primer. You can find one at Sephora or drugstores.

5. Wait for everything to soak in.

6. Apply foundation if you need it.

6. Use eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara.
Honestly, if you are oily, you should not use any moisturizer under your makeup. Use skin care products at night as they are more potent when your skin is relaxed.
The general rule with skin care and makeup application is as followed:

1. Use a gentle exfoliating scrub that doubles as a cleanser. I use St. Ives Apricot Scrub for Blemish and Blackhead Control.

(Also at this point, you can apply any other Acne medication/products such as spot treatments or toners. Since I have dry skin, I use a brightening and hydrating skin serum, Olay Regenerist.)

2. Apply moisturizer. A good moisturizer that is compatible with your skin type is a definite must. They make moisturizers formulated for oily skin, as well. A good, basic drugstore moisturizer is Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisture in SPF 15.

3. Now you can apply your makeup. I recommend using powder foundation, since liquid foundations are more likely to break you out and clog your pores. However, I personally don't wear foundation makeup. These steps are the basic rule for makeup application:

1. Concealer

2. Foundation

3. Eyeshadow

4. Mascara

5. Blush/bronzer

6. Translucent powder to set makeup
